The goal was to explore different dream states, with a focus on entering a lucid dream state. This should be accomplished with a dancer inside a plastic wrapped cube interacting with projections made onto fog with the technology of an Xsens motion capture suit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The music for \u00abstate:lucid\u00bb was created exclusively with the help of electroacoustic methods, such as complex FM-synthesis, subtractive synthesis, granular synthesis, physical modeling\u2026 By rotating the 4-dimensional figure of a 24-cell and projecting it onto the third dimension, the composer was able to place the different sounds in the 3-dimensional space, using the ambisonics plugin created by the ICST (Institute for Computer Music and Sound Technology) in a setup of 16 loudspeakers and 4 subwoofers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the center piece of the performance, the dancer was able to control the music with her motion capture suit, using acceleration, speed, rotation and positioning of different body parts.
